Throughout the course of the baseball season players often times suffer fatigue, injuries and arm issues due to muscle breakdown and a lack of mobility. Our off-season training will focus on teaching players proper arm maintenance along with mobility training to help prevent injuries often associated with in-season muscle fatigue. We will provide strength training to ensure that players do not lose the strength gains made throughout the off-season. Strength training will focus on arm care, injury prevention, and maintaining muscle mass while in-season. This will be a 12 week intensive program that will meet three times a week. BEAST participants will continue to concentrate on rotational baseball/softball movements (hitting and throwing). In addition, there will be a strong emphasis on agility movements which will focus on defense and speed work specifically designed to enhance a player’s ability to accelerate/decelerate along with proper base running techniques. Every individual player’s fitness level will be initially tested to create a baseline to measure improvement. Players will be evaluated periodically in order to maximize results throughout the program, allowing every player to peak at the perfect time.
